ARHAUS BUILDING

Greenville, SC

Located on the west side of the new Greenville County Square Development and fronting University Ridge, this three-story structure anchors a key intersection within the new mixed-use district. The program includes a two-level retail tenant at its core and western wing, a two-story restaurant at the opposite corner, and boutique office space with open terraces on the upper floor.
As is often the case with commercial projects, the design had to reconcile two goals: contributing to the architectural cohesion of the overall development while articulating the distinct identity of its anchor tenant.
Though it evolved through numerous iterations, the design consistently drew from the same initial inspiration—a prototypical early 20th-century industrial-commercial building. In its final form, it merges that historical reference with the refined, contemporary aesthetic of the ARHAUS brand, resulting in a structure that both stands on its own and fits seamlessly within the evolving fabric of Greenville County Square.
