Boca Raton Government Campus Redevelopment
Boca Raton, FL
RocaPoint Partners was one of four teams submitting proposals for the redevelopment of the 30-acre Boca Raton Government Campus. The objective was to transform the site into a vibrant civic and mixed-use district, anchored by new public facilities—a 162,000-square-foot City Hall and a 35,000-square-foot Community Center—to replace the aging existing structures. Complementing the civic core, the proposal included 940 rental units, 90 condominiums, a 155-room hotel, and over 260,000 square feet of office and retail space.
Based on RocaPoint’s site plan, I was tasked with creating conceptual design and renderings that reflect the unique character of this vision. While other teams embraced a decidedly contemporary architectural language, our design drew inspiration from Addison Mizner’s legacy—reinterpreting Boca Raton’s original Neo-Mediterranean style. Traditional and modern forms were composed into free-flowing, asymmetrical arrangements, grounded in native landscaping and shaded courtyards, and the welcoming atmosphere of a civic plaza.
