Greenville Residential Block
Greenville, SC
This six-story residential building is one of two apartment buildings within the new mixed-use Greenville County Square development. Positioned at the intersection of University Ridge and Glaussen Avenue, it anchors the east side of the Central Plaza and acts as a gateway into the district.
The program includes approximately 270 residential units above ground-floor retail. Architecturally, the building is composed of two wings articulated in contrasting palettes of red and gray brick, unified by a light stone podium that grounds the composition.
The design evolved through a series of conceptual studies, ultimately arriving at a language that connects the building with the red brick vernacular of downtown Greenville. At the same time, its slightly abstracted and minimalist expression lends it a distinct identity—one that aligns with the architectural language of the emerging development.
